Study finds strong link between martial arts and confidence.
A study conducted in 2019 revealed some strong evidence of a link between martial arts training and confidence.
2 subject groups were trialled and compared over an 8 month period. One didn’t train in martial arts, and the other did train in martial arts.
What they found was that participants that did train martial arts scored significantly higher in social attitude, academic attitude and personal self attitude.
Here is an excerpt from the official study page revealing the exact scores across both trial groups:

Of course, to anyone that has trained in martial before, this won’t come as a shock.
World renowned success’, including the likes of famous podcaster Joe Rogan, commonly accredit their success and confidence to the practice of martial arts.
He’s quoted in one of his podcasts:
“I think every young man should learn how to fight… I think it’s a skill, and I think you learn it and then once you start getting good at it, it starts actually becoming fun… It’s a giant confidence boost to know you can do something difficult and get better.”
